INFO & REMINDERS
Student Out Periods
We are very fortunate that our students have a significant amount of flexibility for student schedules Emerald Campus, CCP, Virtual, etc. This is a reminder that if a student is supposed to be OUT of the building for those classes, they are NOT permitted to stay at Jerome.
This is a significant safety concern. If we have a student that does not have a Jerome class on their schedule in the building we will ask them to leave. Students are welcome to be here but will need to be added to a study hall. Thank you for your assistance with this.
Multi-use field, Baseball Field, or Softball Fields
Dublin Jerome does NOT yet have possession of the multi-use field, Baseball Field, or Softball Field. At the moment it is still under the purview of the contractors.
We ask that NO students, families, or community members use the areas until we take possession. This will be communicated by Mr. Schwanke when completed. We are almost there!
Parking Lot Safety Reminders
Drop Off/Pick Up: Jerome is a very busy place and experiences high volume of traffic at certain points during the day. Please be mindful of your speed and etiquette during these time. It takes all of us to keep our school community safe. One brief lapse can impact many.
AM Lifting: The end of AM workouts for our athletes increase the traffic in the Hyland Croy lot especially in the spring. The majority of our staff parks in this lot and arrive around the same time. If you have an athlete that drives or you are doing the pick-up please mindful of pedestrians and others.

Clarification Regarding Immunization Requirements
Recent updates from the CDC have led to questions about school immunization requirements. Dublin City Schools follows requirements set by the Ohio Department of Health, not CDC recommendations. At this time, Ohio has not adopted recent CDC changes related to certain vaccines. As a result, all current immunization requirements remain in place, including:
Meningococcal ACWY for students entering 7th and 12th grades, and
Hepatitis B for students across grade levels.
Families will be notified if Ohio requirements change. For more information, view our Immunization Requirements page or contact your school nurse.
Don’t miss Scioto’s production Suffs
Scioto Theatre presents Suffs, the acclaimed Broadway musical celebrating the young activists who fought for women’s right to vote. As one of only 12 schools nationwide awarded the prestigious Suffs: The Young Are at the Gate grant, Dublin Scioto will be among the first student groups to produce this powerful show as part of AP American Studies’ Immersive History Project—marking the programs’ seventh collaboration. Performances run January 23–25 at the Scioto Performing Arts Center, with tickets available at dshstd.booktix.com.
