RECENT VISIT

Our pupils embarked on a remarkable journey to York Castle Museum, which can only be described as a learning adventure.

For some children it was their first time on a coach and for some their first time to a musuem.

During this immersive visit, they were transported through time, experiencing a rich tapestry of historical periods. They explored the vibrant world of the swinging 60s, examined fascinating historical toys, and investigated re-created homes and rooms.

The highlight of their day was undoubtedly the famous Kirkgate Victorian street, where they walked in the footsteps of our ancestors, and the historic jail, which provided a compelling glimpse into past social structures.

Throughout the day, our pupils demonstrated curiosity and enthusiasm, fully immersing themselves in understanding the differences between the present and past.

This educational experience was not merely a school trip, but a fun, interactive learning opportunity that brought history vividly to life, enabling our pupils to connect with historical contexts in a meaningful and engaging manner.

The children displayed impeccable behaviour and were a credit to school and to you.

FOWS

Thank you to those volunteers who gave up their time to run an enjoyable PTA disco last week.
