After School Dismissal Reminders After School Dismissal Reminders

To help ensure a safe and smooth dismissal each day, families are encouraged to decide their student’s afternoon transportation plans before arriving at school. Students should know whether they are riding the bus, being picked up, walking home, or attending an after-school activity.

Last-minute changes can create confusion and make it difficult for the office to ensure every student gets to the correct location. When a change is unavoidable, please contact the school office as early as possible. Requests made near dismissal time may not reach the student before the final bell.

Having a clear plan before the school day begins helps protect instructional time, reduces stress, and keeps dismissal safe and organized for everyone. Thank you for helping us make sure every Panther gets home safely!

Be on Time and Ready to Learn! Be on Time and Ready to Learn!

Getting to class on time is an important part of being successful at JCMS. Students have enough time during each passing period to move to their next class, especially since several classes are located within their team’s hallway.

Students do not need to visit their lockers between every class. Plan ahead by bringing the materials needed for multiple classes and using designated times to stop at your locker. During passing periods, move directly to your next classroom instead of gathering with friends or taking unnecessary trips around the building.

Arriving on time helps prevent tardies, protects valuable learning time, and allows classes to begin without interruptions! If you are needing help finding a different route to your classes, see one of your teachers or your counselor and they would be happy to help.

Want to Volunteer? Want to Volunteer?

Our JCMS families are an important part of everything we do, and we would love for you to get involved! Parent and family volunteers help make school programming and student opportunities possible.

All volunteers must have an updated background check on file with the JCMS Main Office before participating. If you are interested in volunteering this school year, please contact Mrs. Ross-Malcomb in the Main Office and she will get you the proper paperwork.

Thank you for partnering with us to make a positive impact and help us unleash the potential of every Panther, every day!
