Message from Mr. Tejkl

“Be Like Water...”

Good morning!

Welcome to the month of October! The first quarter is two week away from coming to a close. Continue to get your studies done as our staff and your parents will also be making sure you are getting everything in! With the new month and season coming in, the obstacles can begin to pile. Whether it is the changing of the weather, nights becoming longer and the stresses of districts and deadlines can accumulate. The key is to make sure that you are staying in your lane, staying focused and continuing to give your best. BUT, my number one piece of advice is to ask for help and communicate with others. Don't be too prideful or ashamed for asking for assistance!

Quote of the week: Be like water. Water is one of the most powerful items in the world. It can take shape of anything it is poured into. It can be a powerful agent that can bring destruction to things around it. If you give water time, it can cut through land to form canyons. Yet, water can be gentle and peaceful in times as well. Water finds ways to fill cracks and continue to move forward and in all directions. If water runs into an object, it will bend around or cut through. Objects are only a slight delay to the journey.

If we can focus on being water, we can also overcome objects that may be in our way. If there is a crack in the plan, be flexible, fill in the cracks and continue to move forward. There are a lot of things that are out of our control but we can lean on others to get us through. There will be times that we may fall short as parents, teachers, etc...but if we continue to adjust, continue to improve, then we will continue to move forward to our goals. You are more than able to overcome any object in front of you. Although power is good, gentle movement can also be beneficial to make it around those items trying to slow us down.

Have a great Sunday and let's have a great week!

Quote of the week to make you think:

"'Be like water making its way through cracks. Do not be assertive, but adjust to the object, and you shall find a way round or through it. If nothing within you stays rigid, outward things will disclose themselves."

- Bruce Lee

Sincerely,

Tucker Tejkl
