Dear Parents and Carers,

Thank you for your patience as we move to our new communication platform. Our new newsletter aims to provide you with a more interactive experience to find out about all the great learning and activities taking place every week at our school. The newsletter will now provide you with the opportunity to translate into another language so you can share with your wider family and friends.

It has been a very busy but enjoyable half term so far, full of great learning experiences inside and outside of the classroom including; Black History month showcase, Remembrance celebrations, Anti-Bullying activities, poetry weeks, sports tournaments and of course our preparations for Christmas performances and celebrations. Thank you to all parents who were able to attend parent consultation meetings this half term. We continue to work in close partnership with you to ensure your child makes good progress in all areas of their learning.

Now, as we make our way through Advent, we light the Advent candles reminding us of the Love, Peace, Hope and Joy this season brings.

Best wishes,

Ms R McGylnn

Anti-Bullying Week and pupil well-being

In November, we celebrated National Anti-Bullying week. Pupils wore their own clothes to celebrate our differences and individuality. We also raised £152.32 for Unicef's relief appeal. Thank you to everyone who contributed so generously in order to help make a difference for those affected by the Hurricane in Jamaica.

All pupils participated in exciting Anti-Bullying sessions led by facilitators from BigFoot Arts Education. The 'Big assemblies' focused on the imbalance of power which can lead to bullying incidents. The children were encouraged to stand up for what is right, and be defenders and supporters if they witness bullying of any form.

As always, we are working closely with the Mental Health Support Team who are delivering sessions about mental health and well-being to all classes throughout the year. Thank you to parents who attended the MHST parent session on the 10th November.

Prayer & Reflection Prayer & Reflection

Prayer Room

Our prayer room contribution come from Eliana (Year 6 ) & Levany (Year 6)

Heavenly Father,

we lift to you everyone who is calling to you for healing. Gracious God, hear them from Heaven and answer them with your compassion. Deliver them from all pain and discomfort. Show your people mercy and strengthen their bodies. Lord, we ask you for healing on their behalf because we know that you are able to do this, in Jesus' name.

Amen

By Eliana

Father in heaven,

I stand before You today in Your omnipotent presence. Grant me strength. I want You to give me the strength to power through all of the tasks today — whether little or big. It is by Your will that I live oh Lord. And I know it is also by Your will I will not go weak today. Amen

By Levany

Reflection

As December unfolds, the air feels different—quieter, deeper, almost reflective. For many, it’s a month of gratitude, transitions, and renewed faith. You might be stepping into this season of Advent with expectations, prayers, or perhaps a few unspoken worries. Wherever your heart is today, may you feel warmth, peace, and a gentle reminder that God walks beside you.

Advent has a way of teaching us to pause. As we prepare for the rush of the year’s end, we find moments that ask us to reflect on what truly matters. Prayer, in this season, becomes not just a spiritual practice but a soft place to land—a way to find strength, gratitude, and calm in God’s presence. Let us all find time to pray this month as we prepare for Advent to arrive.

Ten Ten Newsletter

Each month Ten Ten produces a newsletter for parents and carers. This newsletter shares some of the payer and liturgy content children will experience in school throughout December and suggests ways for you to engage with them about it. It is also a useful resource for your family prayer time.
