Director of Food & Nutrition Services Sandy Voss presented a request for Board approval to award the contract for replacing front-of-house serving equipment at South and Thomas Middle Schools. The existing equipment—29–33 years old—has exceeded its expected lifespan and is increasingly difficult to maintain. The proposed upgrades will improve operational efficiency, expand menu flexibility, and create a more welcoming dining environment for students. The District conducted a formal procurement process in compliance with federal guidelines and bid both schools together to maximize cost savings.
