CAASPP Testing : April 22th - May 15th
State testing is coming! This year Redwood students in grade 6, 7 and 8 will participate in testing through their individual English and Math class periods. Each test has been assigned a time window and your English or Math teacher will test students during that applicable window during class. Each test is untimed and students may pause and resume progress as needed over the course of the testing window. We are utilizing this schedule because it provides shorter testing sessions in order to support student individual focus and attention.
Families should review the CAASPP testing letter by clicking HERE.
Thank you for giving your best effort on this year's CAASPP testing!
Cell Phone Limits - Tips for Families
As children begin to engage with personal electronics outside of school we wanted to provide a resource for families to support your child's safe use of devices. There are a variety of options and products available for adults to monitor and limit your child's access. The graphic below shows how parents can easily restrict their child's cell phone use during certain times of day. Electronics can be wonderful tools for parents to keep in touch with their children, but we also know there is a very dangerous side especially with social media. Kids are very savvy to technology so it is important that adults keep a close eye on how children use their phones, Remember, there are lost of tricks that kids knows to hide accounts and content from parents. Keep close tabs on those electronics! As a general rule we recommend limiting all social media for students in middle school.
