The Jacobs Journal

It feels so good to be back at school! The building is buzzing with positive energy. Yesterday’s opening day was full of smiles as we welcomed students in grades 1–7 back into the building. Today, our kindergarteners began their Jacobs journey with a half day. I’m happy to share that the only tears shed were from loving families as they watched their children walk through the doors for the very first time.

This morning, the Hull Fire Department conducted our first fire drill of the year. Over 500 staff and students exited the building quickly and calmly, completing the drill in just over two minutes. The fire department was impressed with our process, and it was a great first step in reinforcing safety procedures for the year ahead.

It is very important that families review our new Chromebook Policy and return the signed Computer Device Signature Page by the end of this week. In addition, all families must also return the signed Student Handbook Signature Page. The Student Handbook containing the Chromebook Policy and the Signature Pages can be found on the new website HERE. Please pay particular attention to the updated Chromebook guidelines, as fees will now be applied for damaged devices.

We are off to a great start, and I am looking forward to a year filled with learning, growth, and great memories. Thank you, as always, for your support.

This is a biggie! Get rid of @town.hull.ma.us, because there is a new domain in town! All Hull Public Schools email addresses will now have @hullpublicschools.us at the end.
