Parent Pick-up Reminders Parent Pick-up Reminders

Thank you for your patience with drop-off and pick-up each day! Please continue to help us make pick-up smooth and safe for everyone!

  • Want to help make parent pick-up smooth? Consider having your student ride the bus home.

  • If you're picking up and it's a change - contact the OFFICE with bus changes by NOON. If you send a message to the teacher they may not see it because they are teaching.

  • If you're picking up daily and do not have a parent pick-up number, please request a form from the office and you will be given a pick-up number. THIS IS FOR STUDENTS WHO ARE EVERYDAY PICK-UP.

  • Use the Parent Drop-off/Pick-up lane as you come onto our campus. Please do not begin lining up until 3 pm. This is a safety concern for our staff and students.

  • Families will remain in their cars.

  • A staff member will be looking for the parent pick up number assigned to the student.

  • Staff members are REQUIRED to check IDs EVERYDAY.

Safety Update Safety Update

Teachers have taught and practiced our safety drills with their class. Our school completed our first school-wide fire drill last week and our students did great! Please remind them to always listen to the adult giving directions in any situation.

FYI - We will practice a school-wide Lockdown Drill this week.

Emergency Cards Emergency Cards

All students need a completed online emergency card every year. Thanks to everyone who has already submitted one! If you haven't filled one out for your child(ren), do it today!

ANNUAL EMERGENCY UPDATE

Counselor's Corner Counselor's Corner

September is Attendance Awareness Month, and we want all our families to understand how important regular attendance is to each student’s success- in school and beyond. Berkeley County Schools is encouraging all students and families to Strive for Less than Five absences per semester.

Our goal is to have students in school learning, growing, and celebrating together. This month at Mountain Ridge Primary School, students are participating in β€œBuilding Bright Futures Together,” an activity that celebrates each day your student attends school. Every student will be provided with a β€œGet Up, Show Up, Build Up” picture of a block house; the blocks represent the days of school in the month of September. Each day a student attends school, they will color in the block that corresponds to the date. Students will earn special recognition for attending school on random days throughout the month!

As your student plays an important role in their classroom, your support in reinforcing regular school attendance is essential to building healthy attendance habits!

If your child misses school, please send a note within 48 hours so it can be coded correctly!
