OCSA Teacher Professional Development Day -- Friday, December 4th 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

n preparation for the successful launch of OCSA's Dual Academies ( Virtual Learning Academy and Hybrid/In-Person Learning Academy) in the spring semester, OCSA's Deans will lead a Professional Development Day for conservatory and academic teachers on December 4th, 9am - 12pm. The PD topics will include important school-wide information prior to the start of the semester as well as best practices for both academies.

Academic and Elective teachers will not be required to conduct office hours on Friday, but are required to attend the Spring 2021 professional development session this Friday from 9am-12pm. Please join using the Zoom link below.

Make appointments with OCSA IT to review and setup classrooms - must be completed by Friday, January 8

In preparation for the dual academy launch on Monday, January 11, all teachers who are assigned to teach in-person schedules are required to schedule an appointment with OCSA IT (techsupport@csarts.net) to review your classroom technology and begin the process of setting technology needs for instruction.

These appointments must be completed by Friday, January 8, 2021 - please make every effort to complete this as soon as possible once preliminary schedules are communicated

Students with a D or F

Teachers are REQUIRED to communicate with the parents of any student who received a D or an F on the second progress report. This is extremely important so that parents are aware before final grades are issued at the end of the semester and is required by Ed Code.

As a reminder, if you do not communicate with families about a student's potential for failing your class in a timely manner, then a failing grade cannot be assigned to that student.
