Our Principals' Press

Our Middle School sports are starting this month. Volleyball, Football, Cross Country, Cheer and Knightline have been working very hard and we will have a kickoff assembly the week of Homecoming.

We were very excited for the start of school. Open House was great and we have had a great first week of school with excited students and teachers!

Frida says...

Dog-gone-it it's HOT! I hope everyone is staying cool during these Dog Days of Summer!

I am happy to be back at school and staying cool. I got this fancy new collar to start the school year. I am very proud of it. Take a look at my picture wearing it. I think it makes me look very pup-tastic. I have sniffed a lot of brand new shoes on students too who also seem proud of their back to school things.

I missed my favorite friends over summer. I am so happy to see all you totally PAW-SOME kids! My other favorite humans are Mr. Leo and Grandma Linda.

I went to the library to check out my first book. Yum! I mean yay! Those squirrels look delicious! I mean cute!

Love,

Notes from the Cafeteria

The hens are using their foraging boxes and adapting to a new watering system. They are producing about 1 egg per chicken every day! We are selling eggs for $4.00 a dozen. $2.00 for a half dozen.

Hens Foraging Outside

The eggs our hens produce are super deep yellow, almost orange due to all the foraging and healthy proteins they are able to eat from the field.

Hens with their new watering system

We have replaced the old gravity wells with 2 new 5 gallon buckets with holes we drilled in the sides and placed with metal depressors to allow them to peck and get water

Surprisingly they haven't eaten the plant! Finally something they won't eat!
