MusicAid Announcements
Honoring Mrs. Martin and Piano Book Donation
MusicAid would like to honor the memory of Mrs. Martin, who recently passed away at the age of 94. An avid music lover, Mrs. Martin owned a large collection of sheet music and attended many of our MusicAid concerts. We are honored to have been able to perform for her and share the joy of music with her at our visits to Raphael House over the years.
Mrs. Martin and her family have honorably decided to donate their sheet music books to MusicAid's volunteers. Reach out if you are interested in acquiring piano sheet music as an aspiring musician and make Mrs. Martin proud.
MusicAid is deeply thankful to Mrs. Martin and her loved ones for their support for us. Her love of music and warm presence will be missed dearly.
Our thoughts are with her family during this difficult time. Rest in peace, Mrs. Martin.
Piano Lessons
MusicAid prides itself in its mission to spread the joy of music by making it more accessible. Over the past few years, we have mainly performed at various venues, as well as provided free piano accompaniment to any performer in need.
Recently, MusicAid took on a new endeavor: instrumental lessons. A Baltimore counselor recently reached out to us, requesting our help in assisting an 11 year old girl's journey learning piano.
MusicAid has decided to donate a keyboard and lesson books to this musically curious individual. Thank you to board members Bruce, Charles, and Alvin, for their donations. Additionally, our board member Ella will teach her lessons. We are honored to have been the chosen mentors and are more than happy to continue making music more accessible in any way we can. Everyone should have the opportunity to learn music!
We hope MusicAid has been a significant part of your journey with music as well! Never hesitate to reach out to us with any music-related requests and inquiries, we are often more than happy to oblige!
Team Member Application
We are excited to announce that our Team Member application has opened! Team members serve an important leadership position in MusicAid, working with our boardmembers to ensure the smooth running of our concerts and events at MusicAid. Volunteers, this is an excellent opportunity to join the MusicAid Leadership family and develop important skills in organization, communication, and leadership. We urge you to sign up if you want a meaningful leadership role to display your commitment to the community.
Attendance requirements will be enforced, and a comprehensive list of expectations will be provided upon acceptance. All individuals above 4th grade will be considered for acceptance.
Notably, seven of our MusicAid boardmembers are graduating in the 2026-2027 school year. Therefore, boardmember positions will open next year! Boardmembers are the highest level of leadership in MusicAid, and serving as one will require a large time commitment.
