We strive to celebrate the diversity represented in our school and value what each student brings to Cole Manor each day from their unique backgrounds and experiences. This creates a rich, welcoming and vibrant learning community.

A Message from Dr. Poncheri

Dear Cole Manor Families,

Welcome to April! As we enter the spring season, our school is filled with energy, growth, and outdoor activities! The warmer weather and longer days provide opportunities for students to learn, explore, and connect both inside and outside of the classroom. April is always a busy and meaningful month, full of academic progress, special events, and opportunities to celebrate the diversity of our school community.

We would like to extend warm wishes to all of our families celebrating Easter and Passover this month. April is also filled with cultural and national observances. We recognize Earth Day (April 22), which encourages environmental awareness and Arbor Day (April 25), a time to appreciate and care for trees and our natural surroundings. Additionally, April is Autism Awareness Month, promoting understanding, inclusion, and support for individuals with autism, as well as National Poetry Month, which celebrates creativity, expression, and the power of language. We also acknowledge National Volunteer Month, highlighting the importance of giving back and supporting others in our community. Our Volunteer Breakfast will be help on April 16th at 8:30 AM to honor and recognize our amazing volunteers! The invitation is included in this newsletter.

Please be sure to mark your calendars for our next PFC meeting on April 8. We strongly encourage families to attend, as these meetings are a great way to stay informed, share ideas, and continue strengthening our school-home partnership. Your involvement truly makes a difference in the success of our students and school community. Currently, we are also in need of new PFC board members to help oversee this amazing organization in the 2026-27 school year!

As always, thank you for your continued support, dedication, and partnership. We are grateful for our wonderful families and look forward to a fantastic month of learning and celebration together!

Sincerely,

Dr. Poncheri

NOTES FROM THE SCHOOL NURSE
NOTES FROM THE SCHOOL NURSE (SPANISH)

DONATE YOUR USED GLASSES! DONATE YOUR USED GLASSES!

EYEGLASSES NEEDED-Collection through MAY 15th!

This year, the Health Room is having an eyeglass donation drive for children and adult glasses. If you have old, broken, or unused prescription glasses at home, please donate them to Cole Manor. All glasses collected will be donated to Kiwanis Club, to be recycled and used again, for those in need. Please only donate prescription glasses. Please see the link below to check out the Kiwanis Club organization.

The students who participate in this activity will receive a prize at the end of the donation drive, as well as a period of extra recess, on a day to be designated by Dr. Poncheri. The classroom who donates the most glasses will have a pizza party, also on a day designated by Dr. Poncheri. This is a worthy cause that does not cost anything to participate in and can help remove some clutter in the home. Thank you for your consideration and support.

Hola, estudiantes, familias y personal.

Spring Instrumental Concert April 16th -MARK YOUR CALENDARS! Spring Instrumental Concert April 16th -MARK YOUR CALENDARS!

Spring Band and Orchestra Concert – Save the Date!

We are excited to announce that our Spring Concert will take place on Thursday, April 16th! Families of participating 3rd and 4th grade students should have received concert information at the end of February. At this time, we have received a little over half of the permission slips, and we are hoping to collect the remaining forms as soon as possible.

  • If your child is participating and you have not yet returned the form—or do not recall receiving the information—please reach out to your child’s teacher. This will help ensure that all students are prepared and that families have the details needed well in advance of the concert.

  • Please make sure all instrumental students bring their instrument on Monday April 6th when we return from spring break. There will be at least two rehearsals that week and the exact dates are yet to be determined.

  • Thank you for your support in making this a successful and enjoyable event for our students!
