Calling All Students for WIN Wednesday!

Students can benefit from an opportunity for academic support every Wednesday afternoon from 2:40pm – 4:15pm in the flex room located in the learning commons. Students are supported to complete their schoolwork learning in a supervised setting. In addition students can also utilize the WIN program to make up tests they may have missed. Students can get this approved through their teacher ahead of time and the test will be ready for them to take during WIN. Faculty and staff are available along with upper-class peer tutors (especially skilled in Mathematics). Students will identify their priorities (“What I Need” or “What’s Important Now”), create a plan for the most efficient use of their time, celebrate their accomplishments, and leave with a plan for continued success. Students do not need to sign up in advance for WIN Time. We do ask that students plan to be there for the start at 2:40pm so they can benefit from the full support. We will keep a log of students and their engagement (arrival/departure time and their focus/work while they are there). For students needing transportation home, activity buses will be available departing at 4:45pm.

Athletics Scoreboard Athletics Scoreboard

Varsity Softball

7th Inning Battle Goes to the Irish (May 12)

All tied up in the 7th inning and the Irish were able to walk it off 4-3. Ireland Murphy, Emily Braaten, and Molly Brown each had 1 hit for the Lightning.

Lightning Lose to Eagles 10-2 (May 10)

The Lightning scored first, but didn't have an answer for the Eagles who had 23 hits. The Lightning had 7 hits and were lead by Ireland Murphy who had 2 hits.

Lightning Fall to Lakers (May 8)

The Lightning battled offensively scoring in 6 innings, but fell short 9-11. Maya Erickson had 3 hits and Emily Braaten had 3 RBIs.

Varsity Boys Volleyball

On Tuesday night, your #2 ranked Lightning boys varsity volleyball team added another bit of history during this first MSHSL season. With the 3-0 victory over the Blaze, the Lightning locked up the first ever official South Suburban Conference championship. The team is currently 8-0 in conference and 23-2 on the season. The conference title and the team’s record comes from the boys’ hard work, smart play, and support of each other. The team plays their final non-conference match of the season Friday night when they square off with #3 ranked Eden Prairie here at Eastview. JV and B play at 5:30 pm, with varsity to follow at 7:00 pm. Come support the boys as they battle the Eagles and prepare for the post-season.

The Eastview’s Boys Prep volleyball team is having a stellar season! Wednesday night they swept both West Tonka and Shakopee in straight sets. Their ability to rally back from a deficit against Shakopee showed great teamwork and resilience. Freshmen Mason Jahnke and Jonathan Ratts are stepping up in big ways—those blocks, hits, and serving were key to their victories. With a 6-0 record, they’re proving themselves as a dominant force.

Next Wednesday will be an exciting conclusion to their season with hopes of going undefeated in league play.
