Dear Duval Families-

Happy last full week of school! Time is flying by at Duval! We have many fun events planned over the next few weeks. We can't wait to celebrate a wonderful school year! If you have any questions about the events, please feel free to reach out!

This Friday is our annual Fun Day! Grades 3-5 will participate in the morning and grades K-2 will participate in the afternoon. Please make sure that you have applied sunscreen and send students in with a water bottle and a full change of clothes! We have some water games at Fun Day and even the older students will need a full change of clothes so they do not have to spend the day in wet clothing!

This week we also have our second grade multicultural showcase and 5th grade Invention Convention! Our students are very excited to show off all of their hardwork!

Reminder: Fidgets, toys, and squishies have been causing many issues at school. At this time, they are no longer allowed. If teachers see these items, they have been instructed to bring them to the office and we will return them on the last day of school. Thank you for your understanding and partnership!

- If doing Parent Pick Up please do not arrive to school prior to 3PM. We have had complaints of traffic backing up on to South Ave.

- There is also no public access behind the building during school hours. Even if the cones aren't up, please don't drive around the building 9:20am-3pm.

- Students MUST come to school prepared to go outside! As it is getting warmer out, please remember to send layers and a water bottle with your student. Please email Ms. Craig or Mrs. Salamone if you need help.

- Traffic around Duval is ONE WAY. Toward South Ave both in front and behind the school. There is NO PASSING during Drop Off or Pick Up.

- Please don't rely on a phone call or email during the day for dismissal changes. Unless it is an emergency, please send a note.

Hello Duval families!

Fun Day is this week! Thank you to everyone who has signed up to volunteer. We are looking for a few more coolers and pop up tents to borrow as well as some extra ice. Please see signup if you can help.

This year we decided to reach out to community businesses to sponsor our Fun Day shirts. We were absolutely amazed by the number of businesses willing to support Duval. Please see the attached flyer where we have showcased these businesses and keep them in mind as you choose local businesses to support. We are always so appreciative of our community!
