Panther of the Week
Panther of the Week-Quinn Zannoni
Quinn always stays calm and professional, and he genuinely listens to concerns or even critiques. He goes out of his way to help staff with anything from health care issues to personal or professional matters. He gives up his lunch, prep periods, and sometimes even weekends, and often stays late to support colleagues or students. Quinn cares deeply about the people in the building, and it shows in the way that he tries to advocate for and support and improve the school community. He’s also a constant presence at events, never missing a dance or celebration, and showing students that he’s there for them and willing to listen.

Honoring Rosh Hashanah – A Time for Renewal and Purpose
As we welcome the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah, we honor a time of reflection, renewal, and hope. This season invites us to pause and recommit to the values that guide our work—compassion, inclusion, and the unwavering belief in the potential of every student.
In our mission to serve students with diverse needs, Rosh Hashanah reminds us of the power of fresh beginnings and the importance of community. May this time inspire us to continue creating a school environment rooted in dignity, growth, and belonging.
Shanah Tovah—wishing you a sweet, healthy, and meaningful new year.
Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month: Honoring Neurodiverse Voices and Advocates
As we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, we recognize the rich cultural contributions of the Hispanic and Latinx communities—and the powerful stories of individuals who have overcome adversity to inspire others.
One such role model is Jean-Michel Basquiat, a groundbreaking artist of Haitian and Puerto Rican descent. As a neurodiverse individual, Basquiat struggled in traditional school settings, often feeling misunderstood. Yet through his art, he found a voice that challenged norms and celebrated complexity. His journey reminds us that brilliance often lies in difference—and that empathy and support can unlock extraordinary potential.
In our work with neurodiverse students, we strive to create that same space for growth. By showing compassion, honoring each student’s unique path, and believing in their ability to thrive, we help them discover their own ways to shine.
Let’s continue to celebrate the diversity within our school community and uplift every student’s journey toward success.

Podcast
From Mr. Charles and the Brooklyn Dreams team:
I wanted to share a new resource coming out of our classroom. We’ve set up a Google Form that will let staff highlight student achievements, shoutouts, classroom moments, events, or anything that might be worthy of coverage in the BTC Podcast.
Here’s the link to the form:
My students will be using these submissions to pull current school-wide news into our broadcasts, so the more contributions we get, the better the content will be.
Thanks for supporting the podcast and for helping us build this into a real community-driven project.
