Elgin Education Foundation Awards $35,000 in Innovative Teacher Grants
EEF Prize Patrol Spreads Holiday Cheer... and Checks!
The Elgin Education Foundation has done it again!
Spreading cheer from campus to campus, the EEF and Superintendent Dr. Jana Rueter delivered $35,000 of innovative teaching grants to staff members across Elgin ISD.
Foundation members joined Dr. Rueter in personally delivering the exciting news to grant winners at their campuses earlier today. Fifteen educators received the grants, which included $3,437 for hands-on STEM activities at Trinity Ranch Elementary School.
The Elgin Education Foundation created the Innovative Teaching Grant Program to support the needs of individual teachers toward the furthering of student achievement. A panel of judges review applications before approval of the grants.

We Need Your Help: Please Complete This Form
Parents, We Need Your Help!
Starting Sept. 1, 2025, a new state law (Senate Bill 12) requires parental consent before any school staff, including but not limited to nurses, counselors, or athletic trainers, can provide any services to students, such as basic first aid.
Action required: To ensure that your child has access to the care and services they need, Elgin ISD has created this form for you to provide consent. This form must be completed and submitted before health or counseling services can be provided. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfxw0ul31y3tYBD_JNkxHDfsO0UbXRrwvNfxaEF2MSZbr3A5Q/viewform
In the past, consent was assumed as part of routine care. Now, SB 12 states that services cannot be provided without written parental consent on file. The law helps to ensure parents are informed and involved, and your consent provides the necessary documentation to ensure our staff can continue serving students with care and integrity.
We appreciate your support and patience as we adapt to this change. Thank you to our staff for their ongoing dedication to student well-being!
We're Hiring!
