A Note From Principal Hauser

I hope everyone had a great weekend and is ready for the week ahead.

Kindergarten Curriculum Night

Our Kindergarten teachers will host their curriculum night this Thursday at 6:00 pm in their classrooms.

Morning Arrival - Plan Ahead!

The year round quiet is about to end! Please be reminded that tomorrow is the first day of school for the rest of the District and there will be nearly 30,000 additional students trying to get to school in the morning. That means your morning commute to Easley will likely take a little longer than it has the past five weeks. Please help ensure your child's day gets off to a good start by leaving a few minutes early so they can arrive to school on time.

Fidgets and Sensory Toys

We have seen a significant increase in students bringing fidgets to school, and unfortunately, they are becoming a distraction for students, classmates, and teachers during the school day.

Please be reminded that students should not bring toys or fidgets to school unless they are specifically included as a support in the student’s IEP or 504 Plan, or the school has received a note from a medical provider explaining why the fidget is medically (or educationally) necessary.

We understand that fidgets can be helpful tools for some students, and we want to ensure that students who need them as part of an approved support continue to have access to them. For students who do not have an approved accommodation or documented medical or educational need, please leave fidgets at home. Thank you for your partnership in helping us maintain a focused and productive learning environment for all of our students. We appreciate your support and understanding. Should you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Grandfriends - August 31 – September 4

Our Fall Book Fair and Grandfriends events will be here before you know it! This is an opportunity for students to introduce their teacher and classmates to their Grandfriends, enjoy some breakfast, and shop the book fair. Remember, their visitor does not have to be a literal grandparent; older relatives and family friends are considered Grandfriends. Please see below for the dates and times for each grade level. We look forward to having all our Grandfriend visitors!
