Happy Weekend!


Wednesday was the beginning of the 3rd marking period and 2nd semester. Students completed exams Monday and Tuesday and report cards will be mailed Monday, February 3rd. The grades will also be posted in StudentVue and ParentVue.

We are proud of how well our students did on the exams as the schedule was changed several times due to weather.

Next week is Snowcoming and we will have spirit days throughout the week and then an assembly on Friday. This is always a fun time to celebrate our Mustang Pride.

Absenteeism is a significant factor affecting academic success. Next month, we will launch an incentive program encouraging students to be present at school every day. Students will earn a "Golden Ticket," which can be used for an assignment if they only miss one day or have one tardy between January 6th and January 31st. The Golden Ticket will be valid from February 3rd to March 28th.


Chronic absenteeism is a concern at CMS. Currently. I am challenging students, parents, and guardians to start the school day to attend school every day and be on time for class.

Thank you to our PTO for running the Mustang Market, popping popcorn and working behind the scenes with our events. We are beginning to work on a Dodge Ball Tournament in February. Stay tuned for more information and opportunities to volunteer.

After the Bell is being restructured for the 3rd marking period. We are finding that students will benefit with small group instruction in core subjects. We will be reaching out to parents/guardians of students to invite them to participate in After the Bell.
