Weymouth Early Childhood Center
2025-2026
November 2, 2025
Good Morning,
This week has been filled with Halloween excitement and plenty of pumpkin fun! From celebrating Orange Days to reading uncanny Halloween stories, our students have been fully immersed in the spirit of the season. The smiles didn’t stop there—our amazing staff joined in the fun by dressing up in creative costumes, bringing extra joy and laughter to the day. It’s been a wonderful week of imagination, laughter, and community as we celebrated together!
No School:
A reminder that there is no school on Tuesday, November 4 due to the Professional Development Day.
Food Resources:
In preparation for the possible impact to SNAP benefits, we’d like to remind families about the Backpack Program and the Weymouth Food Pantry.
We encourage families to explore local food resources, including the Weymouth Food Pantry, which offers multiple pop-up locations throughout the community. You can view the full Food Pantry Calendar for upcoming dates and sites.
Additionally, the Weymouth Schools Backpack Program continues to provide weekend meals for students. Families interested in participating can sign up here.
For more food and nutrition resources, please visit our Resource Guide.
If you’d like to support the Weymouth Food Pantry, here are a few ways to help.
For additional support, please contact Kelsie Capra at kelsie.capra@weymouthps.org or 781-337-4500 x293038

Positive Relationships
About this Series
The Backpack Connection Series was created by TACSEI to provide a way for teachers and parents/caregivers to work together to help young children develop social emotional skills and reduce challenging behavior.
Each Backpack Connection handout provides information that helps parents stay informed about what their child is learning at school and specific ideas on how to use the strategy or skill at home.
Meet Ms. Aun
Each week, we will feature a WECC staff member for you to get to know better.
This week meet Ms. Aun from the Food Service department. Ms. Aun prepares and delivers breakfast and lunch to our students in the cafeteria each day—always with a warm smile and a caring attitude. Her dedication ensures that our students are well-nourished and ready to learn. We are so lucky to have someone who goes above and beyond to take care of our school community!
