Grandparent's Day Celebration
All visitors are required to sign up for a preprinted badge to enter the building. We will not be printing badges at the door. Use the link below to sign up for your badge! Please bring a valid ID and arrive early. Vistors will pick up their badge and then proceed to the cafeteria to meet up with their grandchildren. Due to limited parking we will have shuttle buses from the church across the street.
We will have staggered times over a 2 day period. Each time slot is divided by student's first initial of their last name.
This is not an early out day. If grandparents are checking out children,
it will be counted as an absence.
We will have photo displays set up around the cafeteria to take pictures.
Students and grandparents will have a chance to create a photo frame together for the pictures!

Texan Roots Week Sept. 22-26
Pre-K Parents
I want to take a moment to remind all families of an important requirement for enrollment:
All Pre-K students must be fully potty trained
to continue in the Pre-k program per parent agreement.
Being potty trained means that your child:
-
Can recognize when they need to use the bathroom,
-
Can communicate that need to an adult,
-
Can independently use the toilet, wipe, and wash their hands,
-
And does not rely on diapers or pull-ups during the school day.
This policy is in place to support a smooth classroom experience for all children and staff. Our classrooms are not equipped or staffed to provide diapering or potty training during the school day, and our goal is to help all children thrive in a developmentally appropriate and safe learning environment.
We understand that potty training is a process, and children progress at their own pace. If your child is still working on becoming fully potty trained, we encourage you to delay enrollment until they are ready.
We’re happy to share resources and suggestions to assist your family during this transition.
If you have questions or would like to speak with someone about your child’s readiness, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Thank you for your support and understanding as we work together to set our students up for a confident and successful start to school.
Student Birthday Celebrations
If you would like to send treats for your child’s class to celebrate your child’s birthday (cupcakes, cookies, donuts all work well for classroom distribution), please plan to drop the treats off in the school office on the day of the celebration.
Providing napkins, plates and plasticware is also helpful as teachers do not have these items in the classroom. Please do not bring anything that needs to be sliced/cut.
Students’ birthdays are celebrated with treats in the classrooms after lunch.
Birthday treats cannot be served in the cafeteria during lunch times.
To protect our students with food allergies, please check with your child’s teacher about appropriate birthday treats that can be sent to school.
Late arrivals and Early outs
We have a new system for checking children in and out of school.
We are using a QR code that you will scan using your phone. The QR code will take you to a google form to complete. Please bring your phone with you.
Lunch with your student
Thank you for coming to school and having lunch with your child! We love seeing students and parents together in the building!
Things to rememeber:
-bring a valid ID
-Check out through the front office
-refrain from taking photos of children other than your own
Health Care Consent
Please complete the Health Care Consent form if you have not done so already.

Transportation Changes
If your child is going home differently than their normal routine, please email Marlene Gray at Marlene.Gray@wimberleyisd.net.
The only changes that will be honored are the ones that are emailed to Ms. Gray in the main office.
You must include the child's name, grade, and teacher
All changes must be communicated before 2:00. This allows our staff time to follow our procedures to ensure your child gets home safely.
Car Tags are Required
All car rider parents are required to have a car tag hanging in their front windshield at pickup. This will allow staff to safely dismiss students.
Sarting Tuesday: If your car tag is not displayed,
you will be asked to park and check your child out from the front office.
Please have student name, grade and teacher displayed on the tag. We have extra car tags in the front office if you need some!
Attendance
All students should be in their CLASSROOMS to begin instruction at 7:45.
Kid Connection Parents
Your child must be picked up by 6:00pm
If your child is not attending Kid Connection on a particular day, you must put in for a transportation change to Marlene.Gray@wimberelyisd.net. Kid Connection students are in a different area than the car rider students. If you are coming through the regular dismissal loop, you will hold up dismissal while we get your child from the alternate location. It is best for us to be prepared ahead of time and have your child with the car riders. Parking and checking your child out from the front office is also an option after 3:00.
Please do NOT park in the front loop to pick up your child until after 5:00. We still have buses coming through the front loop after school until 5 and they have gotten blocked by kid connection parents parking in the loop. It also blocks emergency vehicles from being able to get in if needed.
Lunch Accounts
****ALL families are encouraged to complete the online application at https://linqconnect.com/main
Money can be added to your child's account online at https://linqconnect.com/main
Student ID #'s can be found in skyward parent access.
We are in need of a few items to get us started for the school year if you are able to donate.
We appreciate your generosity!
