We’re excited to welcome the spring season with our partner the McKnight Outdoor Education Center! Students and families are invited to explore the beautiful trails, interactive nature programs, and seasonal learning experiences where they can connect with the environment and create memories that last a lifetime.
What Family Learning Experiences Can I Expect?
- Explore the creek ecosystem
- Discover local plant life on a plant identification hike
- Learn local geological history while fossil finding
- Investigate chemistry with water quality testing
- Join the City Nature Challenge

The Spring Showcase: Superpowers at Valleyview

Join us for an evening of fun, creativity, and community at our Spring Showcase!
Come celebrate our amazing students and all their “superpowers”:
Kick off the Scholastic Book Fair in Mrs. Thatcher’s Library—books will be available for purchase
Explore student artwork and class projects displayed throughout the building
Visit our local library booth for a prize wheel and information about the summer reading program
Meet special community superheroes with a surprise in store!
Enjoy visits from favorite book characters
Take home a free book
Students are invited to dress as their own superpower or favorite superhero
Treat yourself to some ice cream
We can’t wait to see you there for this exciting night celebrating our Valleyview superheroes!
