Weekly Update

First full week of school completed!

We completed our Fastbridge assessments for the beginning of the year and will be working on any make-ups we have this week, as well as additional testing we need to complete if needed, based on your child's score.

We will be working to send out scores from these assessments once we have them all completed.

If you have any questions about our assessments, don't hesitate to reach out.

We will be starting ASAP this week for those who need help with their homework. If you would like your child to attend, please reach out to the office to sign them up.

Thank you to all who came to our Back to School Night. For those who weren't able to attend, we have a Parent Wish wall up for parents to write what they wish for their child this school year.

If you would like to have your wish for your child added to the wall, please email your wish to Ms. Savanna in the office, and we will get it written down for you. Please email her at savanna.heckel@usd340.org

Please make sure your child is staying hydrated, is eating good food full of protein and healthy carbs, and is getting lots of rest. This will help them as they go through a full school day of learning and an afternoon of practice.

If you have not paid your sports fee of $45, please do so ASAP.

We want all students to be safe when exiting vehicles and buses and walking to the building. Please follow the following procedures when dropping your child off at school and picking them up.

Morning drop-off- Please drop off at the sidewalk/unloading zone on the South side of the school, go through the South parking lot to get to the sidewalk/unloading zone. There is plenty of room for multiple cars to unload in the morning. Please keep the flow of traffic moving.

NO Vehicles can be in the Bus Loading Zone, once the buses have all unloaded about 7:45 you will be able to pull through the bus zone and unload in the main parking lot, please pull all the way in and stay in a line.

Afternoon pickup-

The first 7 cars will be allowed to park in the loading zone, then from there we will have cars fill in lane 1, then lane 2 etc. once the cars in the loading zone have their students and are loaded up and gone we will send the cars in lane 1 to pull into the loading zone, then lane 2 and then 3 etc.

We will have someone at the entrance directing traffic so they pull in where they need to and then another at the head of the lane (where the numbers are in the picture) to direct the next lane to pull to the loading zone. Cones might not always be in the parking lot but please continue to make lanes.

You are not allowed to park and pick up your child in the main school parking lot. Students must be picked up in the loading zone.

Cost for Breakfast is $2.25- we start serving breakfast at 7:30 am

Lunch cost is $3.50- Salads and Ala carte will be offered after Labor Day

Extra Milk is $0.50

Important Dates to Remember-

Tuesday September 9th- Picture Day for all students as well as sports pictures for Cross Country, Volleyball and Football.

Friday September 12th- First Late Start- These will still be 2 hour late starts. Doors open for the building at 9:30am.
