A Message from Principal Davos-Vetas

Dear Bateman Families, Staff, and Community Members,

I am writing to you today with a full heart to share some wonderful news. The Local School Council has officially invited me to continue serving as your Principal of Bateman Elementary.

To the members of the LSC: thank you for your continued trust and for the privilege of leading this incredible school into its next chapter. Being the Principal of Bateman is a responsibility I hold dearly, but more than that, it is a role that has truly become a part of who I am.

When I reflect on our time together, I am most proud of the culture we’ve built--one rooted in kindness, hard work, and a shared belief in our children. While I am proud of our academic growth, it is the daily moments of joy and resilience I see in our hallways that inspire me most. Our work is never truly done and I am so energized to continue growing alongside your children in a space that is as safe and supportive as it is challenging.

Thank you for your partnership, your friendship, and for making Bateman such a special place to call home. I am honored to be your Principal.

With gratitude and warmth,

Georgia Davos-Vetas

Report Card Pick-Up Day

On Wednesday, March 18th is our Quarter 3 Report Card Pick Up Day. This is an instrumental time to pause and reflect on your child’s progress thus far in the school year. We are hopeful that all caretakers will take the opportunity to meet with your child’s teacher(s) to solidify communication methods, create plans of support, and celebrate the achievements in the last few months of school. Please be reminded that there are no classes for students on Wednesday, March 18th!

During Report Card Pick Up, you can peruse the Book Fair, vote for Local School Council, find lost items in the Lost & Found, and check your Parent Portal!

We're looking forward to seeing everyone at Report Card Pick Up!

3rd Grade CSO

On Wednesday, March 4th, our 3rd Graders had the opportunity to engage and act as directors for visitors from the Chicago Symphony. We appreciate spreading the love of music and integrating music through our long-standing partnership with the CSO!
