PTA Trunk or Treat

Our PTA hosted a successful Trunk or Treat, welcoming more than 200 students for a fun-filled event! A big thank-you to our wonderful PTA volunteers for creating such a memorable experience for our students and families.

First-Quarter PBIS Celebration

Students and staff celebrated our first-quarter PBIS reward with an all-school Pajama Day! It was a fun way to recognize and celebrate our students’ positive behavior.

Kindergarten Apple Orchard Adventure

Our kindergarten students had a wonderful time visiting the apple orchard! They enjoyed this special fall experience and the opportunity to learn, explore, and make memories with their classmates.

Parent-Teacher Conferences

We enjoyed connecting with families during our first round of parent-teacher conferences! Thank you for taking the time to meet with your child’s teacher and for your continued partnership and support. Working together helps us celebrate student growth, support learning, and ensure every child has a successful school year.

Report Cards Available in ParentVUE-Friday, October 23

First-quarter report cards will be posted in ParentVUE on 10/23 after 4:00 p.m. You can view your child’s report card by logging into ParentVUE and selecting the “Report Card” tab. A PDF copy is also available under “Documents.”

If you have any questions about your child’s report card, please contact your child’s classroom teacher.

Consistent daily attendance plays an important role in student success. Being at school every day helps students stay engaged, build connections, and make continuous academic progress. Please take a moment to review our district’s information about the importance of regular attendance.

We are excited and proud to share that Builta has been recognized with the Governor’s Blue Ribbon Award for school academic excellence! This honor is a reflection of our entire school community and what we can accomplish together. It represents the dedication of our teachers and staff, the hard work and perseverance of our students, and the partnership, encouragement, and support of our families. This achievement belongs to all of us, and we are grateful to be part of a community that works together to help every student succeed. We look forward to celebrating this special recognition with our students in the coming weeks!

Kindness Challenge Begins - October 30th

Our annual fundraiser, The Kindness Challenge, begins October 30th. During the fundraiser, students will try to raise donations by completing various acts of kindness. More details will be sent out later in the month.

Feed My Starving Children - October 30th deadline

Come join other Builta families on Saturday, November 14th at 2pm at Feed My Starving Children in Aurora to help pack meals for children around the world. "FMSC offers volunteers a one-of-a-kind experience. You’ll hand-pack rice, soy, dried vegetables and a nutritionally complete blend of vitamins and minerals into bags which are then sealed, boxed, placed on pallets and shipped to incredible partners who distribute the food to children who need it around the world." In 2014, the Indian Prairie Educational Foundation (IPEF) teamed up with District 204 to recognize the positive impact of educators. Every month, one staff member will be recognized and celebrated as an A+ Award winner.

You can watch previous surprise award presentations at A+ Award videos. A complete list of previous winners is online at A+ Award recipients.

Click here to submit a nomination for a staff member who goes above and beyond to make a difference for our students.

Nomination Criteria

• We welcome nominations from parents, alumni and community members, and strongly encourage students to submit nominations as well. A+ Award Nominations must include an essay (of 50-500 words) describing how this staff member has positively impacted students. District 204 staff members are not eligible to submit nominations.
• Nominations are rolling. All nominations submitted will be kept for consideration until the end of the current school year.
• Nominees must be currently employed by District 204.
• Nominations will be shared with those you nominate.

At Builta, we love celebrating the diversity of our school community! Families are invited to share a little about their cultural and holiday traditions by decorating the front office hallway display case.
