It is just incredible that the end of the school year has arrived! Thank you for a FANTASTIC year!

We have lots of information and events to cover in this newsletter. We have the academic calendar for next school year, 2024-2025, as well as the new rotating schedule we will follow at Millis Middle School. We also have photos of the 6th grade field trip to Everwood Day Camp, 7th Grade Field Day and 8th Grade End of Year Festivities to share with you.

We included the Summer Reading Lists, Google Classroom codes and Supply Lists for next year, listed by each grade below. Please take a moment and review all this important information and also enjoy the photos and notes about our fun and exciting activities the students and staff were able to participate in! Also, please note that student's schedules will be released later this summer, toward the end of August. Our school nurse, Mrs. Molinari included some very important information for incoming 7th graders regarding immunization requirements, so please take a minute to review her note below as well.

We want to wish all of you a very happy and safe summer. We hope you get to rest, relax and reflect and re-energize during the next few months. We are so excited to welcome our new and returning students August 28th, 2024, it's going to be GREAT!!

7th Grade Community Panel

The community panel was a great success! Students heard firsthand the direct relevance of school-acquired skills in professional settings. Once the panel concluded, students worked together to synthesize information they had heard. The opportunity for discussions helped bring new information and ideas to life. Students were inspired by so many ideas for their future! Overall, it was an incredibly enriching experience!

7th GRADE ECOLOGY STUDY

7th grade students came full circle this week! They used their knowledge of ecosystem dynamics from the beginning of the year to answer the question: "How do we determine the health of an ecosystem?" Students conducted a field study where they estimated the population size of white clover in two different locations. Using this data, along with other qualitative observations, students determined if the location of white clover in relation to the school affected its population size.
