GRIT
This month, the characteristic of the month is Grit.
What is Grit- Working consistently toward long-term goals and never giving up!
Can you think of someone who is the best at his or her job? How did he or she become the best? Perhaps this individual set goals, practiced consistently and never gave up. People grow and get better by courageously working toward long-term goals, even in the face of challenges. This is called grit.”
The link below is a read aloud of The Little Butterfly That Could by Ross Burach from the Resiliency Reading List.
Each month, Resiliency Florida features one of the 11 key Resiliency Characteristics as the Characteristic of the Month. Resiliency Florida is proud to provide resources for parents and teachers to start the conversation about overcoming life's inevitable challenges with their students. It also provides push and email notifications when the bus is near. Sign up using the flyers below.
