Character Strong
The Character Trait for November is Humility.
Family Dare
Volunteer Day This weekend, research local organizations or nonprofits together and plan a way to support 1 this school year that stands out to you as a family. It could be giving of your time, money, or energy - but finding some small way to contribute can be an amazing way to connect and do good!
Extracurriculars
Our next NJHS meeting will take place before and after school in the library on Monday, Nov. 10th.
NJHS Members! Ms. Billman will be collecting boxes for donations on Tuesday morning. Please meet Ms. Billman on the SAC stage from 7:45-8:00 if you have any boxes that can be used to hold donations for our G.R.A.C.E. Food Drive! Each box is worth 15 minutes of volunteer credit. Please be sure to bring your paper Hours Tracker to get it signed!
The G.R.A.C.E. Food Drive starts next week! Please donate whatever you can to help those in need in our community. We will be collecting donations all the way to Thanksgiving Break!
NJHS in the Commnity
Ms. Billman forces the first round of NJHS volunteers at the Trunk or Treat to stare directly into the sun for these pictures! Despite the sun, Diana C.B., Logan R., Haelee O., Mason G., and Henry K. did an amazing job! Even though we might not have won best trunk (we suspect the judges were bribed!), NJHS definitely had the most fun!
CTMS PTA
Grandparents who join PTA in November will have a chance to win a $50 Amazon gift card. Winner will be announced Nov 30!
Thank you to everyone who has joined PTA! Click this link to join the CTMS PTA and thank you to everyone who has already joined our PTA!

Preferred Participation Consent for Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention- Opt In Program
As required by federal and state law, we will soon begin presenting a personal safety curriculum to middle school students. GCISD uses the Play It Safe! ® program to teach this curriculum. Play It Safe! ® is a child abuse awareness and prevention program that incorporates age-appropriate scripts and movies to teach children how to reduce the risk of sexual and physical abuse, and sexual assault. It teaches them to recognize potentially abusive behavior, provides the tools to respond to threatening situations, and encourages them to report abuse to a trusted adult. It is presented by The Women’s Center of Tarrant County, Inc. which uses trained volunteers to present the program using videos and scripted discussions at an age-appropriate level.
Play It Safe! ® meets the State and Federal guidelines for curriculum addressing personal safety issues, child sexual abuse and pedophiles. The GCISD School Health Advisory Committee has reviewed and recommended these programs for all GCISD schools.
Our schedule for showing the Play It Safe Curriculum this year is as follows:
6th grade “Sexual Harassment”- November 12th, 2025
6th grade “Survivors of Abuse- March 11th, 2026
7th grade “Healthy Relationships”- October 8th, 2025
7th grade “Can’t Take It Back” - November 18th, 2025
7th grade “Abuse of Power” - February 25th, 2026
The purpose of this personal safety presentation is to provide the students with information and practical skills to reduce their risk of being in dangerous and/or abusive situations. They will learn how to recognize, react to, and report those situations. This one-hour program is presented in an age-appropriate, non-threatening manner through the use of stories, group discussions, and an age-appropriate movie.
We hosted a parent preview on September 18 via Zoom. Please find the preview for Play It Safe here: https://www.gcisd.net/page/parent-previews-24. Videos will remain available until 9/30/2025.
The Opt In form has been posted into your Skyward Family Access. If you would like for your student to participate, please complete the Opt In form two business days prior to the scheduled program date. If you choose for your child not to participate, your child will be provided an alternate location while this program is being presented. If the form is not completed, your child will not participate in the program.

Secondary Grading Policy
Click here to see the updated secondary grading policy from GCISD. All wolf pack teachers will be following this policy this school year to communicate the progress of each wolf.
Grades are a method of communicating the progress each wolf is making at CTMS. If you ever have questions or concerns over a grade, please reach out directly to the teacher.
Drop Off & Dismissal
Drop-off and pick-up occur in TWO locations: In the parking lot outside the academic halls at the B-hall door and outside the SAC. Thank you for waiting in carline and letting your wolf exit. It takes a few minutes to drop off and pick up over 800 wolves!
For the safety of all wolves, thank you in advance for driving slowly, keeping cell phones away, and staying alert and aware of others.
B-Hall Door
For drop-off and pick-up, the parking lot across from the football field is two lanes. Pull into the lane you will be exiting from, if you are turning right out of the parking lot, drop off and/or pick up your wolf in the inside lane (closest to the building) and if you are turning left out of the parking lot, drop off and/or pick up your wolf on the outside lane (closest to the football field). Also, please pull all the way up to let your wolf out of the vehicle. The doors to the school open at 7:45 a.m. and school dismisses at 3:35 p.m.
SAC Doors
This is a single lane drop-off and pick-up. The driveway is not for parking. If you need to assist your wolf, please park in a non-reserved space.
Personal Technology at School
House Bill 1481 prohibits the use of personal communication devices during the school day. Middle school students may use telecommunications devices before and after school. They may not use telecommunications devices during school hours except for their school issued devices.
What does this mean for the wolves?
- Personal devices will be in bags, not on wolves, throughout the entire school day.
- Families needing to relay messages can leave messages with the front office staff and office aides will deliver messages to classrooms.
- Wolves needing to contact families can use the phone in the front office during passing periods and lunch or, when appropriate, in their classrooms.
Technology Needs
- Submit a HelpDesk Ticket for the most efficient service we will be using the locker system outside of the administration building. More directions will be available in the helpdesk ticket
- Email technology@gcisd.net for assistance
Charger: In need of a new charger for a school issued Chromebook, click here for information on how to order a new one.
