Literacy Implementation Network
Connecting Leaders to Drive Literacy Outcomes
2026-2027 SST6 Literacy Leader Network
Ready to take HQIM to the next level?
Join a collaborative team of literacy leaders committed to strengthening English Language Arts instruction through Curriculum-Based Professional Learning (CBPL) within an Integrated Multi-Tiered System of Supports (I-MTSS) framework.
Over five collaborative sessions throughout the school year, building teams will deepen their understanding of the essential design features of Curriculum-Based Professional Learning while developing practical systems and tools that strengthen implementation of their High-Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM). Each session combines learning, collaboration, planning, and feedback to support continuous improvement.
Throughout the Network, Participants Will:
- Explore the core, structural, and functional elements of Curriculum-Based Professional Learning and their connection to shared leadership, professional capacity, communication, and team-based problem solving within an I-MTSS framework.
- Examine evidence-based instructional practices aligned to the Language Comprehension strands of:
- Vocabulary
- Syntax
- Background Knowledge
- Verbal Reasoning
- Literacy Knowledge
- Evaluate current instructional practices within their building's English Language Arts High-Quality Instructional Materials to ensure alignment with the science of reading and evidence-based instruction.
- Use adult implementation data and student data to develop practical planning tools that support:
- Long-range implementation planning
- Day-to-day instructional planning
- Lesson refinement
- Engage in collaborative problem solving with network colleagues, receiving and providing meaningful feedback to strengthen implementation of HQIM across schools.
