7th & 8th Grade Boys Basketball Results

Monday, 1/31 - Carrollton

The 7th Grade A Team had a win 49-38. Top Players: Xavier VanWagner: 14 pts, 9 rebs, Wyatt Lauenstien: 10 pts, 7 rebs, 7 steals, Gavin Schmidt: 9 pts, 8 rebs, 7 steals

We had everyone dress from both teams tonight and were able to get lots of different kids on the floor for a few minutes. Great win tonight Hemlock!

Last night the 8th Grade Huskies suffered a tough loss to the Carrollton Cavaliers. The Cavs started quick, getting several fast break points with speed Hemlock could not match. After some adjustments, the Huskies were able to slow the break and showed some great second half improvements. Blake Lepla, Gabe Laporte, Brennan Meyer, and Dylan Kowlaski played standout games, leading the Huskies on both ends. The Huskies will get back to practice today preparing to go get a win Thursday against St. Louis!

Monday Memories

The library is celebrating its 80th year! We will be sharing 'Monday Memories' each week to remember our past, celebrate the present, and share happenings for the future. Special events at the library are being planned too. The library actually began in 1895 as residents took turns housing the collection in their homes for everyone to use. Over the years families moved making the mobile library difficult to maintain and the decision was made to donate the books to the public school system. Through the work of Loleta Fyan, the first state librarian of Michigan who pushed for more libraries to be opened and the residents of Richland Township, your library was formally established in 1942.
