Ohio Military Family Spirit Week
BWMS Community,
Thank you for your attention and dedication to providing a great testing environment for our students by helping them charge that chromebook and get a good night of sleep. I also want to give a big shout out to our school counselors for helping prepare all of the documents and supports. Now we get a week off from testing before we plan to finish strong with Math on 4/29 & 4/30 and then 8th Grade Science of 5/1.

I am looking forward to next week as our school shows support for our Military-Connected families district wide. Special thanks to our building Purple Star leaders for helping plan events to make this week special for our kids. Looking forward to seeing the efforts of the District committee come to life at BWMS!

School Updates
- There is no school on Friday 4/18/25 in lieu of Conferences.
- Group 2 of the 6th grade students will be headed off to Camp Nuhop for Outdoor Education extended day trip on Monday 4/21/25. Look for additional details from trip coordinators Mrs. Graven and Mr. Wion sent via email.
- Ohio Military Sprit Week begins on Monday 4/21/25. See details above.
- Students will rank their top 7 locations for their Service Site Location for Service Day on Friday 4/25/25 during Advisory. Service Day is Friday May 9th and an opportunity for 100% of our students and staff to engage in service projects in and around our great Big Walnut Community. More details coming soon.
- The next BWMS Eagles Night is Friday 4/25/25 from 6PM-8PM. Cost is $5 at the door.
- Ohio State Tests will continue on Tuesday 4/29/25 with Math part 1 and Wednesday 4/30/25 for Math part 2. Then 8th grade students only will take the Science OST on Thursday 5/1/25.
- BWMS Service Day is on Friday 5/9/25. It is going to be awesome!
- OMEA Contest for BWMS is on Friday 5/9/25.
