York High School Weekly Memo
Some thoughts for the starting school year

Hi Everyone,
I hope you are having a great week. We started Quarter 4 on Monday, and we are just waiting for the official date from the school committee on the last day of school for grades 9-11 (fingers crossed we have no more snow days). As soon as we have that, I will share the final exam schedule. Senior families will be receiving information from me after April Vacation with all of the important information for the end of the year.
We have an update on parking here at YHS. The parking spots along Robert Stevens Drive closest to Webber Road (near the Stadium) are not for students, staff, or parents. They are only for bus parking. Please park in designated spots elsewhere on campus for games or practices. Additionally, students cannot park in the front staff parking lot during the school day. We have also blocked off the grassy area near the main office to help the grass grow, so students should plan to park in the student parking lots. If there are any questions regarding parking, please reach out to Mr. Hodsdon.
Last week, our library staff, Ms. Masterson and Ms. Trafton, in conjunction with Mr. Rosenberg, created an electronics-free scavenger hunt in the Library for his sophomores. They had fun and got outside of their comfort zone to learn how to find information somewhere other than Google. It was the kind of wholesome fun that only occurs when they put down their electronics.
Enjoy the rest of your week, and as always, if you need anything or have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Thanks,
Amanda
