Kiker Community,
It’s that time again! The hallways are humming, the energy is back, and we are officially ready to hit the ground running!
Last week, our entire staff returned to campus, and honestly, it felt so good to be back under one roof. Between catching up on summer stories, introducing our amazing new staff members, and diving right back into what makes our teaching so strong, the week was packed with enthusiasm.
We also spent time this week looking beyond our classroom walls. Our team rolled up their sleeves and spent a morning giving back through the Kerr County Love Project. Beyond the work itself, it gave us a great chance to build our own team community. If there’s one big takeaway from our time together so far, it’s that we amplify each other when we work together.
As we get ready to welcome your children through the doors, I want to take a moment to say thank you. Entrusting us with your kids every single day is a huge deal, and it’s a responsibility no one on this team takes lightly. We are deeply grateful for your trust and partnership.
This year, our guiding theme is "Adventure Awaits." Just like setting out on a great wilderness trail, this school year will bring new paths to explore, a few steep hills to climb, and plenty of breathtaking moments to celebrate along the way. The best part is that we are all going on this adventure together.
With gratitude,
Mrs. Abrams

Each year it is vital that you complete the Austin ISD volunteer forms if you would like to volunteer in various capacities at Kiker. These forms do need to be completed annually.
Each year we coordinate with outside programs to use our space to offer a variety of activities for our students after school. We are excited to continue this again this year. The final schedules will be ready a little closer to school and we will share those here as soon as they are confirmed. If you are new to Kiker we have historically had things like art, cooking, basketball, piano, and Spanish!
Visit the cafeteria during Meet the Teacher this Friday to visit with several of our after school programs!
