Plano ISD is in the process of implementing High Reliability Schools (HRS), a framework developed by Marzano Research. We would like to receive one parent survey for each student in the district. The survey should take about 15 minutes to complete.

McMillen HS PTSA benefits as a result of the placement of a shoes and clothing donation bin at our school in the parking lot. We are paid by the pound for each pound of shoes, clothing, belts, purses, wallets, hats, caps, backpacks, hard toys and stuffed animals placed in our bin. Please help our PTSA raise funds for school projects, teacher training, new technology and to generally support the children who attend our school.

The Varsity Girls Soccer team is playing Keller at Hebron TONIGHT!

The golf team competed in the District Tournament this past Tuesday and Wednesday. Advancing beyond districts is an exceptional accomplishment, as only the top two teams and the top two individual players not on those teams qualify for the regional tournament.

Jake Li earned a spot at Regionals with an outstanding performance, shooting a 77 on Day 1 and a 70 on Day 2, finishing tied for 3rd overall.

As a team, we placed 4th overall. We are incredibly proud of our players for their hard work and dedication throughout the season, both in developing their skills on the course and strengthening their mental game.

The Regional Tournament will take place on April 13–14 at Tangle Ridge Golf Club in Grand Prairie.

Every year in AVID one of our most impacting components of the program is having guest speakers share about their profession. McMillen AVID students are always thinking about college majors, and they love exposure to as many as possible. That's where guest speakers help the most. Whether you own a business, are in the medical profession, the world of transportation, hospitality, engineering, law, human relations, trade professions…we would love to schedule you to speak to our students. They are always interested and have an abundance of questions. If you would be willing to come share your profession with us, or if you know someone who would like to come be a guest speaker in our AVID classes, please contact Sherika Gaines, our AVID Coordinator, at sherika.gaines@pisd.edu with questions. McMillen Choir is hosting auditions for 2026-2027 Spotlight and Mane Attraction select ensembles! These vocal ensembles perform a variety of music throughout the year-- jazz, holiday, pop, musical theatre, country, r&b, etc. We host two shows with high energy, lights, and costumes!
