Carlton Chamber Connect
PR Announcements - May 9, 2025
Welcome Tony Pease to the Woodlands National Bank Team!
Please join us in welcoming Tony Pease, the new Branch Manager at Woodlands National Bank and a proud 2004 graduate of Carlton High School!
Tony currently lives in Cloquet with his wife Jessica and their two children—Mason (13) and Kinsley (11 months). He’s actively involved in the community, serving as Vice Chair of the REACH Board of Directors, volunteering as a Cloquet youth baseball coach, and enjoying time as a member of both the Duluth Curling Club and the Knights of Columbus. A true Minnesotan, Tony is also an avid local sports fan.
Tony shared that what excites him most about joining Woodlands is the alignment in values:
“I believe in serving and giving back to the community, and Woodlands gives me the best chance to do that. The personal touch in banking has kind of faded over the years, but Woodlands truly cares about building relationships and doing what’s best for our customers—not treating them like just a number.”
We’re thrilled to see Tony bring his passion, experience, and community spirit to Woodlands!

Over the past two years, Carlton County has been working with Fond du Lac Planning and Human Services Divisions and the City of Cloquet on a Safe Routes to School grant from the Minnesota Department of Transportation to connect active living and community through Ojibwe arts and language.
As part of the project, they contracted with a local artist, Giizh (Sarah) Agaton Howes to work with community members to design and install a community mural.
This evening was the grand opening of the mural painted on the bandshell in Pinehurst Park. The grand opening of the mural titled ‘Gaa-miinigoowiziyang “The Good We Were Given.”’
The event featured a ribbon cutting ceremony, Cloquet Youth Drum Group ‘Little Horse Singers’, and a short presentation from members of the planning team.
