Warhawk Culture

Warhawks, today we proudly celebrated the season of giving—and what a celebration it was. Through the incredible generosity of our students, staff, families, and community partners, we were able to fulfill the wish lists of 80 Westerville children this holiday season. Together, we raised an outstanding $10,316.65!

A BIG thank-you goes out to Mrs. Horn, our Key Club, and our amazing Key Club student officers: Kaya Amin, Gloria Bui, Avery Long, Caleb Ofosu, Candice Pho, and Lilly Warden, as well as our entire Warhawk community for modeling what it truly means to be Better Together. Your compassion and commitment made this year’s Caring & Sharing goal possible.

We were also grateful to have our ASL teachers, Judith Mair and Jessie Day, along with their students, join us on stage to interpret during the program. Additionally, a huge thank-you to Ms. Fahning, Mr. Vermeulen, Jazz Central, and our Orchestra for providing the amazing music that elevated today’s assembly.

Top Five Flytime Donors

We also celebrated some friendly competition as we recognized our top five Flytimes for their contributions:

  • 1st Place: Mr. Shawver’s Flytime – $660

  • 2nd Place: Ms. Martin’s Flytime – $621

  • 3rd Place: Mr. Coleman’s Flytime – $605

  • 4th Place: Mrs. Cargin’s Flytime – $432

  • 5th Place: Mr. James’ Flytime – $346

Thank you again to everyone who contributed. Your generosity brought joy to families across Westerville and demonstrated, once more, that when Warhawks come together, we can accomplish incredible things.

Better Together. Always.

WINGS UP !

School Clinic

Hello Warhawk Families!

Freshmen Vision/ Hearing Screenings

Parents of freshmen,we will be screening your student this month as required by the Ohio Department of Health. If your student does not pass, or is unable to complete the vision or hearing screenings for any reason, you will receive a referral letter by email. These screenings do not replace recommended examinations by eye care specialists, audiologists, or your student's primary care provider.

Not feeling well??

Yes, it has arrived…. “that” season. Please keep your students home when they are too ill to participate normally in their school day, or if a fever, excessive coughing, or vomiting is present. Students are required to stay home until they are fever free for 24 hours without taking medication to treat the fever. Tests, projects, and assignments can be completed once they are feeling better. Sharing germs is inevitable, but your efforts in helping contain the spread when your child is ill is appreciated!

Parents of JUNIORS

Your student will need the REQUIRED Meningitis MCV4 booster before their senior year next fall. Proof of vaccination or a signed exemption form is required by the 15th day of school or your child may need to stay home until one of these are completed.

Warhawk Culture

The Westerville Central High School Hall of Fame honors graduates who have distinguished themselves through excellence, leadership, and service beyond their years at Central. Established to celebrate the enduring impact of our alumni, this recognition reflects the values that define the Warhawk community—Pursue Excellence, Better Together, and Own It.

Candidates must have graduated from Westerville Central High School at least ten years ago and should exemplify these core values through their personal and professional achievements. We seek to honor individuals who have demonstrated exceptional success in their careers, made meaningful contributions to their fields, and positively influenced their communities and society as a whole.

The Hall of Fame program is coordinated by the Superintendent’s Student Advisory Committee at Westerville Central High School in collaboration with the district’s School/Community Relations Office.

We welcome and encourage nominations for any deserving Westerville Central graduate. Please note that nominators are responsible for ensuring their nominee’s availability to attend the Hall of Fame induction ceremony and luncheon on Friday, April 17, 2026.
