8th Grade Update 1/31
As our 2nd semester began with our return from winter break, we want to welcome our students back for their final semester here at SMS. This semester is filled with lots of learning, Ohio State Tests, and fun filled days leading up to summer vacation. As we work with your children to help build the skills they need to be successful at the high school, please reach out to us if you have any concerns.

Chromebooks
As we continue on in our second semester of the 24-25 school year, we are continuing to see damaged chromebooks being turned in on a regular basis. Please remind your child that chromebooks should be treated with care to avoid having any damage to them that is unnecessary. We appreciate your support
Collect Credit Plus Informational Meeting
The College Credit Plus informational meeting will be held on January 29th at 6:00pm. This meeting will be virtual and presented by the SHS Counseling Department in conjunction with Cuyahoga Community College. If your student is interested in College Credit Plus and/or new to this program, important information will be shared. The meeting should also be recorded and posted within a week for any families that cannot attend the meeting at that time. The link to the meeting will be posted on the main SHS high school webpage and in your son/daughters Google Classroom closer to the date of the meeting.
School Attendance Matters!
Picking up/Dropping off at School
One change that we have implemented this year is our procedure for picking students up early. When picking up your child from school for appointments, not feeling well, or other reasons;
- You will be required to park your car
- Enter the building
- Press the intercom and present your driver's license for identity verification
- Sign out your child on the cart in the vestibule
Dropping your child off at school does not require you to come into the building as they can sign themselves in.
We appreciate your support in keeping our students and building safe.
