Rm 17 and Lone Kauri Karekare Beach Clean Up
In week 7 Rm 17 and Lone Kauri School took a trip to Karekare beach to pick up rubbish, Kea Kids News even came for some content!! The reporter was Cillian Pound. It was really fun because we got to dress up like pirates and do a cool treasure hunt (plus the rubbish part😀). We wore bandanas around our faces and even amazing pirate accessories (Swords, Eye patches ect). We got rubbish bags and A LOT of rubbish was picked up including micro plastics, glass bottles and candy wrappers, some people even found dog poop and a used nappy! In the treasure hunt, Tuatapu excitedly dug up the treasure and everyone shared the lollies and played hard on the sand dunes! Go check out Kea Kids News to see and hear more.

Yesterday we held our very own Warriors Parade to show our support for the NZ Warriors! 🏉 The students had a fantastic time waving their flags, enjoying balloons and dancing along to the music.
A huge thank you to Mrs Mills for organising such a fun way for us to get behind the team.
Up the Wahs!
WHĀNAU HUI - TUESDAY 22nd SEPTEMBER AT 6PM
"Kōrero mai, e te whānau - have your say!
We'd like to invite all our whānau to come along to our Whānau Hui. It's an opportunity for you to see our kapa haka perform, enjoy some kai, and let us know your thoughts on how we can continue to deliver excellent opportunities for our ākonga Māori. We'd love to hear what we're doing well, what we could be doing better, and any new ideas you'd like to see us try. This year's Whānau Hui will be held in the school hall at 6pm, Tuesday 22nd September. Save the date!"
