Capital Projects Update Capital Projects Update

While our students have been enjoying their summer break, there's been plenty of activity at Rose Tree Elementary! Our dedicated maintenance and custodial teams have been hard at work making improvements both inside and outside the building to ensure we're ready to welcome everyone back.

This summer, new sidewalks were installed near our front bus loading area, providing a safer and more accessible space for student arrival and dismissal. We also replaced our outdoor storage shed, creating a better home for our physical education equipment and helping us keep our playground and outdoor learning spaces organized and ready for fun. Inside the building, new tile flooring was installed in parts of our hallways, giving our school a fresh new look and creating an even more welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

These are just a few of the many projects taking place throughout the summer. We're grateful to everyone working behind the scenes, especially our maintenance and custodial teams, for their hard work and dedication in making Rose Tree Elementary an even better place to learn, play, and grow. We can't wait to welcome our students and families back soon!

A few reminders from Mrs. Hefferan, the school nurse:

Happy Summer! Here are a few reminders from Mrs. Hefferan, our school nurse:

To our rising 3rd grade families: The Pennsylvania School Health Regulations require that all 3rd grade students receive a dental examination. Thank you to all the families who have already returned their child’s dental examination form. If your rising 3rd grade student is going to the dentist over the summer months, please ask the dentist to complete this Family Dental Report. Examinations must have been performed after September 1, 2025 and can be sent to Mrs. Hefferan via US mail or email (bhefferan@rtmsd.org) by Friday, September 11, 2026.

If your child has any prescribed emergency medication (Epinephrine, Albuterol inhaler, seizure medication), please ask your child’s primary care provider to complete the blank action plan that went home from school on the last day with your child’s emergency medication. The completed paperwork and medication can be brought into school during open house on August 27th or during the first week of school.

Contact Mrs. Hefferan (610)627-7228 with any questions.

Have a safe and fun summer with your children!

Sincerely,

Bridget Hefferan
