Hello Families,
Fall Break is here! Thank you for your support and partnership during our first nine weeks of the school year. It has been a wonderful start, and we are so proud of all the progress our students have made. We hope you and your family enjoy a restful and fun break, and we look forward to continuing this amazing year together!
Don't forget, when we return, students have school on Friday, October 17th! We look forward to having our students for a full, 5 day week!

Families are invited to contribute to our school yearbook by uploading photos through the designated link provided below. Please note that while we welcome all submissions, not every photograph will be included in the final publication, as selections will be made to ensure a balanced and representative yearbook. As we step into October and cooler weather, we also see an increase in seasonal illnesses 🤒. Handwashing remains the most effective way to prevent the spread of germs.
Some illnesses are unavoidable, but to support our leaders’ health and learning environment, we’ve included an infographic outlining when a student may need to be sent home.
"When the germs take a spooky turn đź‘», to home your little leader will return."
When a student should remain home or meet criteria before returning to school:
Fever: Temperature of 100°F or higher. The student should be fever-free for 24 hours without the use of medication before returning.
Vomiting or Diarrhea: The student should be vomit- and diarrhea-free for 24 hours without the use of medication before returning.
Reddened or Watery Eyes / Crusting: If diagnosed with pink eye, the student must be on prescribed eye medication for at least 24 hours before returning.
Rash of Unknown Origin: Student should remain home until cleared by a healthcare provider.
Injuries Requiring Physician Evaluation: Student should remain home until evaluated and cleared by a physician.
Head Lice: Students cannot be excluded, but it is highly recommended that they be picked up until treated.

- Mrs. Whicker always goes above and beyond to care, listen, protect, and communicate with her students. She is always kind and responsive when I've reached out. My daughter looks forward to her class every morning and loves the little extra XP opportunities she gives them. We're so grateful to be apart of her team this year!
We would like to recognize LSRO staff for all the amazing things that they do each day for our students. If you have someone that you would like to brag about, please fill out this form and we will share the Shout Outs through the weekly Thursday Exchange.

DEVELOPING LEADERS AT LSRO
Weekly I Will Statements
During morning announcements, we will focus on one LifeLeader Attribute each week and learn what we need to do to develop each attribute so that we can become effective leaders in our school and in our community. We encourage students and families to memorize these statements together and talk about how the attribute is exhibited at home, school and work. We will share the I Will statement in the weekly newsletter and on our campus Facebook page. We look forward to hearing how students are exhibiting the attributes at school and home. Click here to view all 15 LifeLeader attributes.
LifeLeader School Rules - Growing Leaders of Character
LifeLeader School Rules - Growing Leaders of Character
During the first six weeks of school, we’re introducing our LifeLeader School Rules to help students grow as leaders of strong character. Every two weeks, we’ll focus on one of the three school rules, reinforcing positive behaviors that support our mission.
We invite you to partner with us by asking your child how they are demonstrating these school rules both at school and at home.
