Welcome back to the 2025-2026 school year!
We cannot wait for our students to be in the halls again!! This year our guiding quote is, "Eyes on the Stars, Feet on the Ground." We have big goals for your children and we want them to develop their own goals - both academically and personally! It's going to be an amazing year and we work forward to collaborating with you!
Back to School Night

First Day of School
- Thursday 8/14 is the first day of school!
- Students may get breakfast that morning in the cafeteria and will mingle outside with their teachers and staff.
- 7:55 the bell will ring and students will meet with Mrs. Pierce in the Auditorium. Following the meeting they will have a normal schedule!
This Week:

Friday 8/15
A Few Things...
- The Bell Schedule did change a bit this year. Homeroom is AFTER lunch (6th period). That adjusted the times for lunch. Schedules are in a schedule below!
- The State of Texas did mandate that personal electonic devices are not allowed in schools. Luckily CJHS is ahead of the curve here! Thank you so much for your support on this matter! HOWEVER - this does change 2 things at CJHS.
- No smartwatches may be worn during school hours.
- No wireless headphones are allowed.
As always, I would love to hear your thoughts and ideas for the forward movement of our school! Please contact me with questions and/or Comments, recommendations, raves, or constructive criticism! You may always email me at jpierce@childressisd.net or call the school at (940) 937-3641. I've added an additional option in the button below for more specific feedback!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Janet Pierce
