Parent Coffee @ JC ☕
Topic: Autism
What an incredible morning of connection, learning, and support! Our recent Parent Coffee on Autism brought together Julian Curtiss families in a powerful display of community collaboration. Parents, educators, and support staff shared insights, strategies, and personal experiences, creating a warm and inclusive environment that truly embodies our school's commitment to understanding and supporting every student.
The enthusiasm and engagement were inspiring. Families left feeling more informed, connected, and empowered, with new tools to support their children's academic and social-emotional growth. A heartfelt thank you to all who attended, to our dedicated Special Education Support Student Support Team (SESS), and to Ms. Leigh Stewart for orchestrating this meaningful event.
Together, we are building a stronger, more understanding community – one coffee, one conversation at a time.
The 49th Annual Greenwich St. Patrick's Day Parade
On Sunday, March 23rd, the Julian Curtiss school community came together in a vibrant display of school spirit at the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade. Our scholars and families proudly marched down Greenwich Avenue, holding our school banner high and chanting "JC is the place to be!" The energy was infectious as our students and families demonstrated the strong sense of community that defines Julian Curtiss. With each step, our participants radiated pride and enthusiasm, representing our school with unity and joy. Looking ahead, we are already excited to build on this year's success and gather an even larger group of Julian Curtiss representatives for next year's parade.
District Art Show
Thank you Mrs. Deitrick!
Julian Curtiss families gathered last week for the district-wide art exhibition showcasing the creative talents of students from across Greenwich. The event featured an impressive collection of artwork, with our JC scholars' pieces drawing particular admiration. Parents and students alike marveled at the colorful displays that highlighted the artistic growth and expression of our young creators. The exhibition demonstrated the rich arts education our students receive. JC scholars beamed with pride as they guided family members through the gallery to view their masterpieces. The evening was a wonderful celebration of creativity and community, reminding us all of the importance of artistic expression in our children's education. A huge thank you to our AMAZING art teacher, Mrs. Deitrick. Thank you for your hard work and commitment to JC.

Attention ALL JC Parents:
Book of the Month 📖
One Wish: Fatima al-Fihri and the World's Oldest University
March Book of the Month: One Wish: Fatima al-Fihri and the World's Oldest University
This month, we are excited to share One Wish by M.O. Yuksel, a beautifully told and illustrated story about Fatima al-Fihri, the remarkable woman who founded the world's first university over 1,000 years ago. Her story is one of perseverance, education, and the power of dreams—perfect for inspiring our students to believe in their ability to make a difference.
We selected this book to celebrate International Women’s Month, the spirit of Ramadan, and, most importantly, the idea that knowledge is a gift meant to be shared. Fatima’s journey reminds us that learning has no boundaries, and with determination, we can all shape a better future.
