Ms. Moore

Miss Moore’s Kindergarten did a directed drawing of a snowman and then painted using watercolors! Check out their artwork - they did a great job!

First Grade First Grade

Science

First graders became engineers creating towers from common solid objects during science class. Students had to use what they learned about the properties of solids to build strong, tall, or beautiful towers. Everyone agreed that it was fun to be engineers even if it took some perseverance! Below are photos shared from Mrs. Curtin's and Mrs. Wendling's classes.

Third Grade Third Grade

The third graders have been learning about hydroponics in their science class, and are earning their green thumbs growing lettuce. Each student has their own planter made from a mason jar, net cup, and rock wool. They measure and chart their plant’s growth each week with hopes to be able to make their own salad by the spring!

Safety of all students and staff is a top priority at Tawanka, so we have strict safety procedures in place. A reminder of the following:

Building Entry: All visitors must scan their driver's license or state issued ID at the kiosk in the front vestibule and wait for entry. This is required at every visit, or access will be denied.

Early Dismissals: Please notify the teacher if your child will be picked up early. If being picked up by someone other than a parent/guardian, please specify who will be picking up your child. Students will only be released to individuals listed on the emergency card, but the office must be notified prior to pick-up. Students must be signed out in the main office. Again, driver's license or state issued ID is required to pick up a student. We strongly encourage early dismissals be no later then 3:00pm
