The Weekly Update #4
March 27th, 2026

Spring Message from our Principal
I hope you are starting spring off with great days and fun events!
I love seeing kids outside playing after school and on the weekends and the excitement of longer days of light are such a plus.
With spring sports and other activities lasting into the evenings it can be difficult to get up and ready for school on time. We will help to remind our students of arrival time procedures, and hope that you can, too. School starts at 8:55am. This means that students are in classrooms and morning routines begin, promptly at that time. Tardies are recorded beginning at 8:56am.
Our morning breakfast is served beginning at 8:35am when our doors open and closes at 8:50am. However, Mrs. Mura waits for students to run in and grab breakfast when needed until 8:55am.
We know how important breakfast is for our learners!
Thank you for combining efforts with us to ensure that are students are here and ready to learn each morning at 8:55am!

The money donated during this competition will go towards making sure all students have the opportunity to enjoy the fair wile supporting classroom libraries and the school library. All that good for just some pocket change. PTO Needs Board Members! Sign up today!
Our school PTO needs Board Members to continue supporting our school next year.
Without a PTO Board, many of the things our students and teachers rely on- like school events, fundraising, and classroom support- may not happen. These programs don't run on their own; they depend on parent volunteers, like you!
Even a small group of people can keep things going. If you've ever thought about getting involved, now is the time!
If you are interested please click the link below to sign up.
If you have any questions, please reach out to heatherstonepto@gmail.com
Thank you!

Heatherstone Color Fun Run
It is Color Fun Run time!
We are very excited to host out 2nd Annual Color Fun Run on Thursday, April 30th.
The Color Fun Run is fully coordinated by the Heatherstone PTO volunteers. This keeps the majority of the funds raised within the school. We encourage all families to join us during the event to cheer on our Huskies! Every student, regardless of financial giving, will get a t-shirt to wear during the event. We are also offering parents/guardians the chance to purchase a shirt, you will be allowed to run alongside your student and support our event.
The donation period kicks off today! Below is an outline of the information you need:
- Look for a flyer in your student's backpack with details on registration, prizes, donations, volunteer opportunities and much more!
- For instructions to register your student(s) using the online donation platform: Pledgestar, click the link below.
Thank you for your continued support of our students and school! We look forward to seeing you and the students on run day!
