Building Champions at Home Building Champions at Home

One of our campus goals this year is to help students strengthen their ability to make good choices, manage their emotions, and take responsibility for their learning. These skills—self-direction, self-regulation, and self-control—are essential for success in school and in life.

You can support this work at home by giving children opportunities to practice independence and reflection. Encourage them to set small goals (“I will finish my homework before dinner”), talk through their feelings when they’re upset, and celebrate moments when they make good choices on their own. Asking questions like, “What could you do differently next time?” helps children learn to problem-solve instead of react.

Together, we can help our students grow into confident, capable, and kind learners who know how to manage themselves and their responsibilities. Thank you for partnering with us to guide them toward success—one mindful choice at a time.

Public Meeting for Campus Targeted Improvement Plan

HES will host a public meeting for families and community members to share input on our Targeted Improvement Plan. Your feedback is an important part of shaping our school’s success! Please join us in the HES cafeteria on November 10, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. to be part of the conversation.
If you’re unable to attend in person, please use the link below to share your ideas and suggestions for our school improvement efforts.

School Report Card for 2022-2023

The School Report Card information for our campus can be found at TXschools.gov. Due to judicial proceedings, the release of the 2023 School Report Card was significantly delayed. We encourage you to visit TXschools.gov to learn more about our school’s performance. Thank you for your continued support of our school.
