BUS TRANSPORTATION
Please review Buses and Boundaries for pickup & drop off information.
For the first few weeks of school expect the buses to be late due to student verification, departing the campus, and heavy school traffic.
Parents are encouraged to review the Student Handbook for the Bus Rules and Regulations . Our bus rules are for your children’s safety, and we rely on the parent's and guardians' support of the bus rules to safely transport children. Please know that disruptive behavior endangers the safety of everyone on the bus and students may lose bus privileges if violations occur.

SAVE THE DATE!! We need you! Contact the counseling department for details.
Hello Rawlinson Parents. This is Nurse Kirk, your School Nurse. If you were unable to make Prep Day, please see the information provided about medications and vaccinations.
- Vaccines- 7th grade vaccines are TDap and MCV4 (Meningococcal). You can email me their updated record at megan.kuykendall@nisd.net or for any other vaccines that have been identified as being needed. Attached are a few flyers about vaccination location options.
- Medications - Attached is the long term medication form which needs to be filled out by a doctor and a parent/guardian. All medications need to be kept in the clinic with a doctor's order, even over the counter medications, unless they have doctor's orders for self-carry inhaler or epi-pen. Medication orders are good for 12 months and then need to be renewed after that.
- Actions Plans - Asthma, Food Allergy, Insect/Other Allergy, and Seizure action plans are attached. Please fill them out with your doctor and sign the bottom as needed. Bring in the form with the medication. If they will self carry only, you can email the action plan to megan.kuykendall@nisd.net
- Private Duty Nurses - If your student has a private duty nurse, a new Parent PDN agreement, a new Nurse PDN agreement, and a copy of the doctor's orders/care plan (the long term medication order form can be used for any medications or procedures) need to be given to the school nurse. A new background check verified by the school nurse must be completed prior to PDN coming on campus. Please contact the school nurse if you have any questions or concerns.
- Elevator Pass- If your student needs an elevator pass during the school year, a doctor's note needs to be provided and will be good through the duration specified by the healthcare provider and may be renewed as needed.
*** All medications should be brought to the nurse by a parent/guardian. If the nurse is not available, the front office staff can help sign in the medication. Medications should not be expired.
