Middle/High School Update
Looking Ahead to the 25-26 School Year!

Inspiring every student, through every experience, every day
Meet the Principals
Mr. Nicholas Ramcheck - Principal
It is a pleasure to continue serving the Westfield School District as your Middle and High School principal as we head into our second year. Reflecting on the incredible connections we made over the past year, I am more excited than ever to build upon that foundation. My background as an educator continues to drive my commitment to helping our students reach their full potential as individuals, doing my best to build connections with each and every student that walks in our halls.
As a former science teacher, I believe that curiosity is the spark that ignites learning and personally attempt to embrace this value in all aspects of my practice. My personal hope is to foster this in our students, staff, and community as we work together to move forward into our future. I welcome the opportunity to collaborate and hope to continue to learn from the experiences everyone can bring to the table.
Outside of the classroom, I love spending time with my wife and two young children. I also participate in a wide variety of hobbies and activities, always willing to try and learn something new. Some of my favorites include playing and collecting a wide variety of board games, staying active through working out and sports, building furniture in my woodshop, and traveling to as many places as possible. I look forward to continuing to contribute to this wonderful community.
Mr. Darrin Berger - Assistant Principal
I am excited to begin my second year as assistant principal at Westfield MS/HS. My 16 years in education includes work in special education, academic and behavioral intervention, social-emotional learning, and coaching a variety of sports.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending quality time with my wife, son, and our dog. I also enjoy reading, golfing, hunting, fishing, and cheering on Wisconsin sports teams.
I look forward to continuing to connect with students, families, and staff, and being an active member of both the school and broader community. I’m deeply committed to building strong, positive relationships and fostering a supportive environment where every student can grow and succeed.
Principal's Note
Happy End of July Pioneer Families!
I hope you are enjoying a restful and fun-filled summer! While our hallways are quiet from students right now, there is quite a lot of work happening behind the scenes for the upcoming school year. We are excited as we continue to prepare our space to welcome our students back to school in about a month!
There has been incredible progress from our capital referendum projects over the past few months! Though we had to start even before the year ended, I assure you that it will all be worth it. If you have passed by our building on the outside recently, you are seeing more and more of the parking lot coming together every week. Just wait to see the many great changes happening on the inside as well as we update and enhance our students' learning environment, safety, and overall school experience! These improvements are a direct reflection of our community's commitment to our youth. Thank you so much for your support!
Have a wonderful remaining few weeks of summer! Stay tuned for more back-to-school details, and get ready for a fantastic year ahead!
Sincerely,
Mr. Ramcheck
6th Grade Boot Camp
We want to take the opportunity to welcome all of our incoming students to our building!
As 5th grade students, you visited us at the end of the year for our orientation day. This gave you the chance to walk the halls, meet many of our amazing staff, and ask some questions. This said, we are excited to formally welcome you into the building this upcoming year. We also cannot wait to show you all the wonderful updates that have been occurring at our school over the summer!
Our Middle School Boot Camp is the perfect opportunity for all of our new 6th grade students to get an introduction to our building. We know the transition between buildings can be intimidating. This program is designed to help address those feelings. Our 6th Grade staff will bring your student into the building a bit early, providing introductions as their new teachers, doing team-building activities to help foster student relationships, and learning procedures that are necessary for around the school. This is a great jumpstart their middle school experience! From past experiences, students who come are far less stressed the first week of school and feel much more prepared stepping through our doors when school starts.
Please plan to attend the Boot Camp during the following times:
August 17th - 19th
8:00 AM to 12:30 PM each day
All of our incoming 6th grade students can come and participate these three days for free!
