Did You Know? Did You Know?

A big thank you to all the supporters of the Graduation Basket Fundraiser. This year the highest bid was on the seniors Akron apparel basket for $350. Collectively the fundraiser brought in over $3,100 to be added to the gradation fund.
We have the best school supporters and wouldn't be able to offer this benefit to our students without all the help from our staff, students, parents and community.

Thank you!

Building Trades Building Trades

Our building trades class does it again, this time transforming our elementary work room. Mr. Johnson and his students added built-in shelving and work areas for better access to materials and extra storage.

A big thank you to Mrs. Miller for hosting the Scholastic Book Fair! Students and their families were able to browse and purchase from a large selection of books. Family night was a huge success and helped contribute to over $5,000 in sales. Profits from the book sales are used to purchase new books for the library and prizes for the AR store. Mrs. Miller was even able to have a few book give aways and drawings!

This month our elementary book of the month featured "Room on the Broom" by Julia Donaldson, which tells the story of a kind witch and her cat who invite three other animals to join them traveling on her broomstick.

Students were then asked to work on a craft project of a witch and her friends riding a broom.

The winners of the "Room on the Broom" book drawings are Madison Pieper and Jayton Hermes.
