Greetings Winn Families!

I would like to begin with a heartfelt thank you. This past week, we had our biggest Booknic ever! We had 202 out of 222 students have guests in our building for the Booknic. It was so much fun to have everyone in the building reading and enjoying each other's company. Thank you also for supporting our Scholastic Bookfair. We were able to raise money to help our teachers get free books for their classrooms all because of your support!

Speaking of reading, how is your reader doing at home? Remember, they need their reading log filled out completely in order to "earn" their trip to space. If you need an extra reading log, please reach out to your classroom teacher.

Highlights this week:

3/17 Happy St. Patrick's Day - Wear GREEN!

3/17 Junior Achievement in 4th grade

3/18 2nd grade Field Trip to "Learn to Skate" program

3/18 3rd Grade Field Trip to Sugar Bush

3/18 Kindergarten Registration Night at Winn 6:00-7:00

3/19-3/20 Dental Bus is Here! (advance sign up needed)

3/21 Report Cards Sent Home

With Gratitude,

Laurie Richards

Winn Elementary Principal

Calling all future BlueJays! We welcome all future kindergarteners and their families to attend our Winn Elementary Kindergarten Registration on Tuesday, March 18th from 6:00-7:00pm. If you have a future Winn student or if you missed the Shepherd Elementary registration date, please plan on attending this session to "save" your spot in our school system.

We have an exciting night planned. We will have a group presentation where you will hear about our school as well as hear from our Winn Kindergarten teachers, Mrs. Merritt and Mr. Pudell. Immediately following the group presentation, you will be able to take your child to get their picture taken (it's signing day at Winn!) and visit each of the Kindergarten classrooms. We will also have some special guests that night including our local preschool programs at Shepherd Elementary and out at Winn.

Please feel free to share this out to other interested parents! Thanks!

After many years of fundraising, our Winn Parents' Club is investing in a new "big toy," for our playground! We would like to send a big thank you to our WPC board past & present as well as to all of you who have supported our wonderful school by attending our Fall Festivals. The BIG reveal is on Friday this week. We can't wait to see which structure wins!!
