Interim Principal: Brandy Stiver Interim Principal: Brandy Stiver

I am honored to introduce myself as the Interim Principal at Milwood Magnet Middle School for the upcoming school year. Having served as your Assistant Principal last year, as well as our Climate and Culture Coach previously, I am thrilled to continue serving our amazing school community in this new capacity.

Kalamazoo Public Schools has been my professional home for the past 27 years. Over the years, I've had the joy of working directly with students and families as a teacher, coach, and assistant athletic director. Those experiences shaped my passion for education and gave me a deep appreciation for the incredible people who make up our community.

My primary goal is to create a safe, positive, and collaborative environment where every student can thrive. Central to our mission this year is instilling a growth mindset across our school community—ensuring that every individual is given the encouragement, resources, and space to learn and grow each day.

Open communication between home and school is vital to our shared success. I am committed to keeping you well-informed throughout the year. Please review this weekly newsletter regularly for essential updates and upcoming events. Additionally, we are actively updating the Milwood Magnet Middle School website to serve as another reliable resource for timely information.

I look forward to partnering with you to make this an exceptional, successful school year for our students.

Warm regards,

Assistant Principal: Tracy Chappell Assistant Principal: Tracy Chappell
